Elijah McCormick Joins Us for Karaoke Night, Saturday, Oct 17
We've got a special dinner guest this Saturday, October 17. Elijah McCormick, the Moore County singer America got to know on American Idol, is joining us at Southside Bar & Grill for dinner during Karaoke Night. We're expecting a standing-room-only crowd, so come early to get a seat.
Elijah is a Pinecrest High graduate and a former Moore County resident, so this one feels like a visit from one of our own.
His story is one of the most remarkable you'll hear. In 2019, just hours after his graduation, Elijah was in a serious car crash near Pinebluff. He flatlined nine times and spent 79 days in the hospital. When he could speak again, his first question was, “Momma, can I still sing?”
He could. On American Idol Season 21 in 2023, his audition of Rascal Flatts' “Bless the Broken Road” brought Lionel Richie to tears. He earned three yeses and America's Platinum Ticket, and went on to reach the Top 26.
Elijah's coming for dinner and good company, so come say hello and give him a warm Seven Lakes welcome. Who knows, maybe the karaoke mic will find him.
